I've looked some shops closest to where I work and live and a lot of good shops where located near this location. However I choose this because; 1) Google Reviews and 2) Because they have been in the business for years (they really know what they are doing) especially my vehicle is an older model. I had an issue with my output shaft seal which causing it to leak. However only after a month after it was replaced by a mechanic (I was already told it may not last for long and may need a new case because it was damaged by previous mechanic) it leaked again. Thinking it may need a new housing and not to have again a temporary fix, I went to this location. Dan was amazing, he was detailed and they are very honest. They still did a permanent fix without spending $1k+ for parts and labor only $250. They replaced the seal and made some permanent fix that's causing the leak. I couldn't see why I cannot recommend them for a great job they did. So far it's been 15 days and still no signs of leak, hopefully it stays longer.

Vehicle issue I was having was loud noise from front end area (tires or ?) when driving. Ford dealership diagnosed that it was the front end differential which was a $3K repair. I was skeptical so I took it to NT on Macleod Trail. They confirmed it wasn’t the front end differential and that it was just uneven wear (cupping) on the one tire. They saved me $3K and diagnosed the actual issue.

It all started in Banff Alberta. We were on holidays from Saskatoon. Transmission quit working and the car would not move. Had car towed to Calgary, National Transmission Macleod Trail SW after talking to Troy (service writer) who sounded honest and helpful on the phone. We arrived there 15 min before closing. Troy mentioned that he had a location for a used transmission and would just have to check the numbers to make sure they would match. Troy said they would look at the car first thing next morning. There was a Comfort Inn just beside National Transmission which worked out perfect ( By the way. Comfort Inn has an excellent breakfast included for a nights stay) My wife and I decided to go for a walk around 9:00 am the next morning and coincidently we noticed a Fiat exactly like ours. As it went past I noticed the plate and it was our car. Wow was that quick. We walked to National and talked to Troy and the tech. They found that the right CV axle came out of place. They inspected the car to make sure every thing was ok for travel. In the end I gotta say that Troy and his tech are very honest and great to talk to. The cost was, honestly, way less than I expected. What great service and a great place. Tim Sands

My experience with National Transmission at 23 Ave: I drive a 2004 Dodge dually, 6 speed manual, of course it has a Cummins in it, I wont have it any other way!! This guys are awesome!!! Very professional, and extremely knowledgeable is the way that I would describe them. Jeff will some day have his own shop, and I will be glad to be one of his customers. His customer service skills, and professionalism are one of the best that I have seen in a long long time. Hats off to you Jeff, well done man!!
