My car started making noise so I took it to a big box store twice, both times they said nothing was wrong and it was a "normal Honda noise" which I knew wasn't the case as I have been driving my car for 8 years and it never sounded like that before. Someone then recommended National Transmission to me so I took my car in to them and they figured out the problem ASAP and were such a great help and very nice people to work with. Used this shop this morning. Brock was excellent and pinpointed my issue within 10 minutes after hooking up his diagnostic computer. He explained exactly what had happened and quoted me the part and repair. I left my vehicle and picked it up in the afternoon. I've been going through some rough times and in the thick of all of it I temperarely lost my job to the fort mac fires, the day I was evacuated when I finally got home, my vehicle broke down on me. So I was referred to national transmission and spoke with Troy and he had it towed right away. After further inspection they had discovered that the drive shaft was done on it. And instead of charging some crazy price to fix an older vehicle he problem solved and figured out a cheaper resolution to the problem. The price I paid was way under any other price I would have gotten. In other words it was affordable enough not to just throw away the vehicle and find another one at a time I couldn't afford one. The service, the work, the compassion that was shown is unbeatable. So if you are looking for the right place and you are afraid of being ripped off, taken advantage of or even just over charged, national transmission is the place to take your vehicle to get the right service you can rely on. The team at National Transmission helped my Mom get her Mazda 6 fixed twice already. Mazda identified issues that were either not there or were going to cost a lot to fix. I took the car to National Transmission and both times they saved us money and identified the real issues. My 1977 Mustang II began to suffer from some serious transmission issues back in April of this year. It would pop out of gear, grind when downshifting into 1st gear and was obviously on it's way out. I brought it up to my local shop who've been fixing the car up with me since I purchased it in March. They sublet the job to National Transmission here in town. I'm willing to bet that my transmission fluid was sparkling like a Christmas tree when they looked at it! After a few days, my shop phoned me and let me know that the transmission was apart and that the problem was most likely the main shaft bearing (I think?) and that it was causing my car to pop out of first gear. I gave them the go ahead to let the guys down at National Transmission fix it and rebuild the transmission back up from the bottom. My mechanic reinstalled the transmission, phoned me and let me know the sad news: it still wasn't fixed and it was still popping out of gear. So, the car goes back down to National Transmission. I'm pretty wary at this point since I owe them $2200 at this point and that's a LOT of cash for me and the issue still isn't fixed. Apparently, it ended up being a synchro issue, if I recall correctly, and was an easy fix. My shop spoke to them and came to the agreement that I would pay the initial $2200 and that was all. The transmission was reinstalled, runs great and was given a 5 year/unlimited mileage warranty which is very impressive. National Transmission had to source some parts to replace since the vehicle is 39 years old at this point and has over 90,000 miles on it. While I never dealt with National Transmission face-to-face, they demonstrated solid workmanship, customer care and good business ethic by fixing the car without any additional cost. Just had my Denali in to have the transmission repaired and built up a bit. We discussed build and budget before any work was done. Brock kept me 100% informed of what was going on step by step.
