Troy & his team at National Transmission are absolutely first class! The team is professional, efficient and very knowledgeable! I have used this business to build racing transmissions for the past 10 years and the work is flawless! It is rare in this day and age and economy that you encounter a business that is truly about informing, educating and supplying their clients with everything they need to make informed decisions and then supporting their clients they best way they can. My story is not extraordinary, but the service I received from Neil and Arash at National Transmission was just that - Extra Ordinary! I am a single parent who was having serious transmission issues so I parked it for over a year. Finally, I was able to save up some money $ 750 (thinking that I had a sufficient amount) to get my vehicle looked at. In June 2015 went over to National Transmission off Barlow and met with Arash. After the diagnostic and assessment was complete I was called in and Arash let me know that I needed a brand new transmission (YIKES) to the tune of around $ 3700+ . Right away I thanked him for his work so far, but I let him know that there is no way I could afford to pay for this in one payment (let alone 2 or even 3 payments). I just figured I would just take my car home, park it again and figure out what I would do next. Arash kindly told me that he in good conscious and business practice could not let me drive away in my vehicle in that state and they would work with me the best they could to repair my vehicle and make some reasonable payments. I was so relieved and in a state of disbelief that they were willing to work with me ..... through out the next week I was in constant communication with Arash about the status of my vehicle, repairs and cost. Again very clear and concise about what they were doing and why. When the repairs where complete and I went in to pick up my vehicle this is where the real MAGIC happened. We were able to come to a mutual agreement for payment over the next 4 months ( June - September), while I kept my vehicle and got the blessing of going into the shop monthly to meet with my friends, have great conversation and pay my dues. The Gentlemen at National Transmission are the real deal, I am blessed to have chosen this shop for my repairs, because I can almost guarantee had I gone anywhere else, I would have been turned away at the door. So again a Special Thank you to Neil and Arash and the National Transmission crew, I was treated with the up most respect and given a chance and that feeling far surpasses how smooth my vehicle rides now thanks to these guys. Best service in town hands down. I own 3 high end vehicles and Brock and his team are the only ones who I trust to touch them. From regular maintenance to transmission and drivetrain issues, I've always received the royal treatment - on time, on budget, no hassel and no B.S. I have had countless issues with the dealerships in Calgary and Edmonton. It's nice to see there's still a shop who believes in good old fashion customer service while providing value for the dollar.

Highly Recommended. This is the place to go for transmission and mechanical check up. I was devastated when I saw a puddle of oil under the hood one morning. I was visiting back then Calgary for Stampede. It was busy Stampede week. Few places I stopped by including Toyota dealership basically told me to throw the car away. I googled National Transmission and they took me in without any appointment. Offered me water, coffee, sat me down because I was super nervous and didn't know what to do. (Also it was super-hot). Looked at the leak and calmed me down saying that 99% there is nothing wrong with it and it just needs minor repair (in comparison to what I have been told before by other shops in Calgary). Arash and the Owner took me to the rental place right nearby. They called prior to me getting there because again it was a busy week. There was huge line up but because of the owner rental place was expecting me already. I got a cheap rental since National has a deal with them. It was Friday and I needed a car over the weekend. Monday morning Arash called and confirmed that only few things needed a replacement and transmission itself is not leaking. Other places wanted either my money or the car. National Transmission treated me like a family. Repaired my car. Got paid. No more puddle. Everything is ok now. I am very thankful to them and their business. I hope we don't meet ))) hahaha (in a good sense of this word) but should something happen this will be the first place I will take my car to. They also checked if the car runs properly and mechanically is ok. It would be good to see friendly staff and know that you are not being ripped off....Thanks National Transmission! I think Ive found my new mechanic!! Aresh is very knowledgeable and can thoroughly answered any questions I had regarding my transmissions weird behavior over the weekend. He took my truck and me for a test run with a diagnostic computer attached to monitor performance; free of charge. He showed me that eveything was operating correctly and my temperatures were normal. And since then its been running fine. He told me that the new valve body computer in the tranny goes through a period when its installed were it has to learn your driving style and optimum shift timing etc, and that i should just be patient and let it adjust. (A different place suggested i rebuild it again!! $$$$$) We had a look at my bearing hubs and like i suspected they did have to be replaced. He had it done the next day and the bill was less than quoted. These guys are straight shooters and are very polite and professional. I will be returning for sure if anything else comes up.....hopefully not to soon though :)
